Dressed in royal golden clothes, Sita sits perched at her palace window in a Ramayana mural painting at the Emerald Buddha Temple. The window frames and tiered roof eaves are painted with gold leaf paint.

Below the window five women kneel reverently on a tiled floor inside the walled palace courtyard. One woman holds her hands in prayer position, while the rest creep along the floor to converse respectfully with Princess Sita.
