Hanuman sets the roof of Ravana's palace on fire in Thai Ramayana mural at Emerald Buddha Temple

Sizes available: 1024×690 | 600×404

Hanuman sets the blue tiered roof of Ravana’s palace on fire in a mural detail at the Emerald Buddha Temple.

Here Hanuman, whose body is covered with burning flames, climbs over the roof of Ravana’s palace and sets it on fire. Bonfire-like flames burst from the roof in two places.

Hanuman’s body was made invulnerable by the god Siva, so he now takes revenge on Ravana by using his own torched body to burn Ravana’s palace and city.
