Forest landscape with tiger (Thai Ramayana mural)

Sizes available: 1024×683 | 600×400

A landscape mural at the Emerald Buddha Temple shows a lone tiger standing in a lush forest. The tiger stands quietly on a hill with trees, mountains, and blue-tinted clouds in the background.

In the Ramayana, when the gods protect Sita from the jealous death order given by Rama, she awakes from her death-like stupor and wanders in the forest until found by a hermit.

This image was photographed in August 1984.
