Rama's son Mongkut is marched by soldiers to Rama's palace (Thai Ramayana mural)

Sizes available: 1024×705 | 600×413

Rama’s son Mongkut is being marched by soldiers to Rama’s palace, as seen in a mural detail at the Emerald Buddha Temple.

A courtier beating a small handheld gong and five soldiers accompany Mongkut as they walk outside Rama’s palace walls. Mongkut walks behind the courtier in shackles while two guards with swords and three with lances walk behind them. Monkut is dressed in fine gold clothes. The guards wear uniforms and helmets in various shades of blue.

When one of Sita’s mischievous sons, Mongkut, is finally captured, Rama’s soldiers take him back to the palace to face Rama directly.
