Pasture land and agricultural fields complete this bucolic portrayal of rural Ecuador.
Even though Ecuador boasts thriving urban centers and a bustling port city, the country remains predominately agricultural. Products like wheat, grain, corn, cacao, and coffee cover the rolling hills between the Andes mountains and the coast. The varied ecosystem (from snow-capped volcanoes to rainforest to littoral) allows for the production of a wide array of foodstuffs.
