Two thatched-roof huts on a farm in Ecuador

Size: 1024×682

Two thatched-roof huts on a farm in Ecuador complete the foreground. Sprawling fields extend beyond the huts up to the surrounding mountains.

Even though Ecuador can boast of thriving cities and extensive tourism, it is still an agricultural country. Because of the varied climates produced by the rainforest, the Andes mountains, and the lowlands close to the ocean, Ecuador can boast of a wide variety of agricultural products. This photo shows how close the agricultural areas are to the mountains.
