flag of Vietnam

Size: 800×533

The National flag of the Vietnam, officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, bears a yellow five-point star on a red field. This flag was adopted as the National flag of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) on November 30, 1955. It became the national flag of Vietnam (Socialist Republic of Vietnam) following reunification with South Vietnam on July 2, 1976.

The flag ratio is 2:3 with a yellow five-pointed star in the center, symbolizing the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Red represents people’s blood and revolution. The five points of the stars represent the workers, the peasants, the soldiers, the intellectuals, and the merchants.
