Roadside tourist shops with souvenirs and drinks on display. A couple of people and motorbikes are visible at right. Indonesian shopkeepers expect customers to bargain cheerfully for lower prices than the shopkeepers request initially. Much local conversation thus revolves around current prices and the quality of goods being offered.
The red-and-white Indonesian flags posted out front indicate the photograph was taken near Independence Day, August 17th.
