A two-story, thatch roofed Balinese guest house is located in a lush grove by a nearby wet-rice field. Palm fronds are visible at the edges of the image.
Because Balinese understand that foreigners find Balinese buildings and fields to be charming, many guest houses are designed as modified versions of local homes and placed near wet-rice fields at the edge of established villages.
