Chinatowns exist all over the world, including other Asian countries, like Malaysia. I happened to witness some procession while I was in Chinatown in Melacca, a booming port city. It seemed to be a funeral, though the music sounds quite upbeat. I might have witnessed the same thing in the streets of New Orleans.
