Preparing the whitewash in a cauldron

Size: 784×1024

Whitewash is prepared by mixing limestone with other materials such as rice starch, which makes the wash last longer. Whitewashing the house is an important preparation for the arrival of the post-harvest festivals. Dasain, Nepal’s national festival, falls in October. Tihar, another major festival, takes place in November.
