Trekking sing on rock on the side of a trail

Size: 1024×675

A bit of official mountainside graffiti seen on “the way to Jomsom” in Nepal. Signs and messages such as this one are posted for the benefit of trekkers, most of whom are not Nepali, and many of whom will understand English.

Trekking, a popular tourist activity in Nepal is a combination of walking and hiking. Trekkers walk through the mountains from village to village stopping along the way for food, lodging and sightseeing. Jomsom is one of the larger towns in the Mustang district of central Nepal.
