Whitewashed lodge along a trekking trail in western mountains, Nepal

Size: 1024×675

The Mustang Lodge and Restaurant in Ghasa, Nepal, mainly serves trekkers and tourists visiting the mountains of western Nepal.

In North American culture the word “mustang” is often used to describe a type of horse or a car, but in Nepal it indicates the Mustang district. The Mustang district is part of Dhawalagiri zone, one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal. The town of Jomsom is the district headquarters, and it covers an area of 3,573 sq km and in 2001 had a population of 14,981.
