Forest patch, landslip, mountain peaks

Size: 675×1024

On the trail between Ghasa and Tukche, Nepal, the peak of a mountain towers behind this scrub forest. At the bottom right-hand corner a partial landslide can be seen. Landslides are caused by a wide range of factors, including the angle of a mountain’s slope and erosion. In the steep Himalayan mountains landslides are frequent and dangerous.
