Donkies on leash in front of a whitewashed house

Size: 1024×675

Donkeys leashed in front of a long house in a village in western Nepal near the Tibetan border.

Tibetan prayer flags hang from a pole between the houses. Prayer flags are inscribed with Buddhist symbols, invocations, prayers, and mantras. For centuries, Tibetan Buddhists have planted these flags outside their homes and places of spiritual practice for the wind to carry the beneficent vibrations across the countryside.
