Size: 675×1024

A chorten, or stupa, at Kaagbeni, Nepal. A chorten is a mound-like structure containing Buddhist relics, once thought to be places of Buddhist worship.

Chortens are built along trails across much of trans-Himalayan region (the Tibetan side of the Himalayas).
