Havelock Ladies Home Demonstration Club

Size: 456×768

Women in light-colored shirt-waist dresses are gathered behind two tables outside in this black and white photograph. Two of the women are holding young children in their arms. On the tables are basins and bowls. One woman is seated behind the table on the right. A young child in overalls stands in front and to the left of the table on the left. His left hand rests on the table. Behind the women is a stately tree with Spanish moss hanging from its limbs.

An attached newspaper article reads: “Havelock club not yet one year old but plans construction of community building as home. By: Mrs. Percy Tilton. The Havelock Ladies Home Demonstration club was organized March 28, 1934, with a membership of twelve.”
