Mrs. Fred Christian

Mrs. Fred Christian, of Stokes County, is seen posing in a long print apron in front of a model kitchen sink peeling potatoes. The black and white photograph taken around 1939 promotes home demonstration. A curtained window is over the sink. In the right side of the sink is a large metal bowl. On the drainer to the left are potatoes and potato peelings. Mrs. Christian is holding a sharp knife in her right hand and a potato in her left hand. Behind her are cabinets with jars, cans, and canisters on the counter top. A wooden kitchen chair is just visible to the left.
