The moon can be seen through dusky skies over white block buildings. The building on the right has a traditional red-tile roof.
Manzanillo is a large seaport town on Mexico’s west coast. It was founded early after the Spanish conquest of Mexico and became an important ship-building port during the colonial period. The name of the town comes from the Manzanillo tree, which provided essential raw materials for building ocean–going ships. Today the town is Mexico’s busiest port and a popular tourist destination.
