Ships in Manzanillo's harbor

Size: 1024×709

Several large ocean-going vessels fill a large harbor. Five naval vessels sit at the dock, while two large tankers are in the middle of the harbor. Tree-covered hills rise beyond the harbor.

Manzanillo is a large seaport town on Mexico’s west coast. It was founded early after the Spanish conquest of Mexico and became an important ship-building port during the colonial period. The name of the town comes from the Manzanillo tree, which provided essential raw materials for building ocean –going ships. Today the town is Mexico’s busiest port and a popular tourist destination.
