Close-up of the berries of the yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria). The yaupon is an evergreen holly that grows in the southeastern United States. American Indians used yaupon berries, which contain caffeine, to brew a tea that was consumed as part of a purification ritual. Beware,this can cause poisoning!
