Seven members of the first officially recognized Corn Club in North Carolina were present 45 years later at the dedication of an historical marker commemorating their pioneering work. Charter club members taking part in the ceremonies were (left to right) Dr. Raleigh W. Parker, C. A. Worrell, E. C. Hill, Charles W. Parker, Henry T. Browne, J. Raynor Moore, and Troy Newsome. Also on hand were T. E. Browne (fifth from left), who helped to recognize the first club as superintendent of Hertford County schools; and I. O. Schaub (right), who was State Corn Club agent in 1909 [L. R. Harrill is also shown at far right].
