Boaters paddle down the Ganges River in a boat in Varanasi, India. Several more boats, mostly small wooden vessels, are docked at shore. The skyline sprawls into the distance. Buildings, even tall ones, are built just feet from the edge of the shore. Several bathers sit on shore or wade in the river.
