Rock formations on the Window Trail in the Chisos Basin area.

Size: 709×1024

These rugged peaks show the striations and various colors of rock which were made during volcanic eruptions over 32 million years ago. Trees and other forms of vegetation cling to the crevices of the rock which can be seen on the Window Trail in the Chisos area of Big Bend National Park.
