This is a view of a sunset from Grandfather Mountain, near Boone, North Carolina. Grandfather Mountain is known as such due to the fact that the mountain, when viewed from the side, looks like the profile of an old man.
Boone is a town in Watauga County, which is located in northwestern North Carolina. It is nestled among the Appalachian Mountains.
