This is a snowy hiking path on Roan Mountain in Mitchell County, North Carolina. The mountain straddles the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. It is renowned for its natural mountain balds as well as its lush growths of rhododendron. The area receives a good deal of snow due to its high altitude.
