Gate at the Penland School of Crafts in Mitchell County, North Carolina

Size: 1024×682

This is a gate at the Penland School of Crafts in Mitchell County, North Carolina. It is a beautiful hodge-podge of metal found objects and handcrafted metal pieces. Penland is a center for craft education in everything from drawing to textiles. Artists participate in intense residency programs that last anywhere from one to eight weeks that immerse them in an environment that promotes artistic thinking and artistic people.
