In the classroom

A series of questions to guide student analysis of primary source documents, based on “Reading Primary Sources: An Introduction for Students,” by Kathryn Walbert. The handout can be adapted to meet the needs of your class. You may want to add additional questions; ask students to look for key words, topics, or concepts that are relevant to what they’re learning about; or identify specific elements of the source you would like students to engage with.
