A restaurant in Spivey's Corner,

Size: 1024×778

A sign in Spivey’s Corner advertises the Green Top Restaurant and touts the area as the “Hollerin’ Capital of the World.” The National Hollerin’ Contest, held in Spivey’s Corner since the 1960’s, celebrates the art of hollering, a style of yelling used practically by farmers and folks in rural areas before the widespread use of the telephone.
