The formal gardens at Tryon Palace in New Bern, NC
These are the formal gardens at Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina. Tryon Palace was built in 1767 to serve as the home to the Royal Governor who was appointed by the ruling monarch of England. The last Royal Governor fled the palace in 1775. Tryon Palace then housed the elected Governor of the independent colony of North Carolina during the Revolutionary War.
