Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton, NC

Size: 1024×681

This is Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton, North Carolina. It is North Carolina’s best-known lighthouse. In 1989, after many debates, studies and proposals, the National Park Service made the decision to move the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse approximately one-half mile from its former location to an area less susceptible to the ocean’s influence, where it now rests.
