This is Fort Defiance in Lenoir, North Carolina. Fort Defiance was the home of General William Lenoir. He was a major general in the North Carolina Militia and fought at the Battle of King’s Mountain during the American Revolution. The house has been restored and is furnished with original pieces of furniture from the earliest periods of the house.
