Named for the late J.C. Raulston, the arboretum is a "nationally acclaimed garden with the most diverse collection of plants adapted for landscape use in the southeastern United States." The JC Raulston Arboretum is free and open to the public 365 days each year from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (April through October) and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (November through March). It is located at 4415 Beryl Road in Raleigh, NC. Arrangements may be made for guided tours by calling Faye Koonce at (919) 513-7457. One month’s notice is required.
