• Lesson plan: StreamWatch This lesson is intended as a long term project to determine the overall health of a stream or wetland. Students identify seasonal changes that occur within the ecosystem, ideally with a minimum of bimonthly or monthly monitoring.

• Lesson plan: How a blue crab changes as it grows Students explore the BlueCrab Archives website to understand the changes that a blue crab goes through during molting, and why it is important for scientists to understand these changes.
• Lesson plan: Food webs in the bay Students research plants and animals that live in the submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) of a bay area. After researching the organisms, students will do class presentations and create a food web using pictures of all of the organisms.
