Built circa 1804, the Green River Plantation is open to the public and tours are available. Eugene and Ellen Cantrell purchased the plantation in 1987. Great pains have been taken in trying to recreate original paint colors and floor finishes. Window treatments and accessories have been carefully chosen in the interior design of the mansion, as the Cantrells have worked to recapture the era in which the home was built.

Tours of the plantation are by reservation only. They are usually an hour in length. To arrange a tour call (828) 286-1461 or send an email to greenriver@blueridge.net.
