  • American Visionaries: Legends of Tuskegee A three-part web exhibit that uses primary source documents, photos, and artifacts with supporting text to tell about the lives of Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, and the Tuskegee Airmen.
  • WASP on the Web A website with activities and information shared in honor of the Women's Airforce Service Pilots of WWII. the site includes official documents, records, statistics, audio clips of speeches, photographs, a crossword puzzle, a virtual coloring book, a virtual paper doll, the opportunity to e-mail or chat with a retired WASP, facts, a timeline, articles written about the women (beginning with those written in 1943), quotations, a glossary, and digital postcards.

At the North Carolina Aviation Museum students will see many examples of America’s greatest warplanes from WWII through Vietnam. The museum also houses a large collection of authentic military uniforms, medals, and memorabilia.
