This was the home of Zebulon Latimer, a local merchant in the mid 19th century. Since 1963, it has been the home of the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society. The Latimer House is open to the public and is an example of the way of life of the upper class citizens of Wilmington in the Victorian era. The 14 room house contains over 600 objects of the period.
