Established by Reuben Dellinger in 1867, this grist mill has been in the Dellinger family for over 140 years. It has been restored and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Today the mill is used to grind corn into cornmeal and grits utilizing the same time-honored methods and machinery from the 1800s.

Dellinger Grist Mill on Cane Creek is located at Hawk, NC, just four miles east of Bakersville on State Road 1211 ( Cane Creek Road ) Group tours are available with advance reservations. Call (828) 688-1009.
