At this historic area, visitors are invited to step back to a simpler time and relive part of America’s heritage. The site is a historic complex, with four restored buildings that allows visitors to both see and experience life as it was generations ago.

Preserved intact are the 1913 mill itself, the 1890s working Murray & Minges General Store, the 1880s Wheathouse (used as an exhibit gallery), the furnished 1913 John Murray House, and numerous outbuildings.

Murray’s Mill is located near Hickory. It is open March through December 20th. Admission is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students under 17. To schedule a visit, send email to inquiry@catawbahistory.org or call (828) 465-0383.
