High Point Museum
This museum highlights the history of High Point, area Native Americans, the Quaker settlers, the workers and factories of the furniture business, and much more.
Schedule a tour to see the new exhibits and learn the history of the many items in the collection. Exhibits will change in special galleries and special events will be offered. On the grounds are the John Haley House, the Hoggatt House and a Blacksmith Shop.
The museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday; 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday and it is closed Mondays. There is no admission fee. School and youth group tours are designed so that the content and activities are age appropriate and aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Tours should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. You may make reservations by contacting the curator of education at (336) 885-1859 or by email at museum@ci.high-point.nc.us. Pre and post visit materials are provided to teachers free of charge.
