The Firemen’s Museum has restored equipment and displays honoring more than two centuries of firefighters. Many early fire engines, steam engines, and fire trucks are on display, as well as photographs of New Bern’s greatest fires. The museum is one of a handful of museums in the state dedicated solely to firefighting. The museum is open Monday - Saturday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Call (252) 636-4087 for group tours or holiday schedules.
