Originally built in 1923 to be a county home, the 4-H Rural Life Center is a great place to see what life was like at the turn of the century. The buildings on the site include the original county home building, the Allen Grove Rosenwald School which was used to educate minorities, the original smokehouse, barn, chicken coupe, washroom, pump house, and dairy barn. The center also has an antique farm equipment museum. An old saw mill once used to cut timber can be seen also.
