Making a contribution in helping Stanley’s school children develop an interest in local history is of special importance to the Brevard Station Museum. Its permanent displays highlight gold mining in the area, the advent of the railroad, the beginning of the town of Stanley; information and artifacts of the textile industry; farm life; early domestic life; military artifacts and much more.

Located at 112 S. Main Street, the Brevard Station Museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10AM until 4PM. Appointments can be made for other times by calling 704-263-9801 or sending email to bmuseum@carolina.rr.com.
