Two floors of exhibits showcase the history of the twenty counties of southeastern North Carolina at the Museum of the Cape Fear. Exhibits include information and artifacts relating to American Indians, European settlement, African American slavery, plank roads, steam boating, industry, the Civil War, and much more. A changing exhibit gallery focuses on topics of special interest.

The museum is located in the Historical Complex at 801 Arsenal Avenue in Fayetteville. The museum hours ate Tuesday through Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays. Call (910) 486-1330 for information or email mcf@ncmail.net
