Nestled on 380 acres in a rolling valley, the John C. Campbell Folk School allows students to journey through time in the History Center. 20th Century Appalachia is on display through visual art, fine and folk craft, music, historic film footage, photographs and written textual panels. The folk school also has nature trails and an array of arts and craft classes.
