The Cherokee County Historical Museum reflects the life of the Cherokee Indian before their removal along the “Trail of Tears” to Oklahoma.

The museum has many interesting and educational exhibits, including a collection of over 2000 Cherokee Indian artifacts, approximately 500 collectible dolls, antique farm implements and vintage household items used by early pioneer settlers in Cherokee County.

The museum is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is located at 87 Peachtree Street, Murphy, NC next to the Cherokee County Courthouse. Call (828) 837-6792 for more details.
