Located at 243 Third Ave., the Hickory Museum of Art is the second-oldest art museum in North Carolina and the first museum in the Southeast to collect American art. The museum offers exciting exhibitions, lectures, art classes, films, and outreach programs to schools and other groups. The permanent collection of the Hickory Museum of Art includes more that 1200 works, ranging from 19th Century landscapes to examples of American Art pottery, Contemporary art glass, and regional folk art and face jugs. Visitors will find unique art items in the Museum gift shop.

Located in the Arts and Science Center of Catawba Valley and is open Tuesday-Friday 10 AM - 5 PM, Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM - 4 PM. Call (828) 327-8576 for information on exhibitions or events.
