- Backyard Conservation Provides tip sheets that help you practice conservation in your own backyard as well as a variety of activities and lesson plans for teachers who wish to incorporate conservation into the science curriculum.
- EPA High School Environmental Center A resource page that provides a great deal of useful information for high school students studying or wishing to learn more about the environment and what they can do to help protect it. Major topics include air, waste and recycling, conservation, water, ecosystems, and health and safety.
- Environmental Kids Club Uses multimedia games, sourcebooks, and many other resources to teach students and teachers about conservation, ecosystems, recycling, air pollution, water pollution, human health, plants, and animals.
- Lesson plan: The three “R's” of conservation The conservation of our resources is in the hands of every individual. Students need to learn the effect of recycling, reusing, and reducing has on our environment and what they can do.
- Lesson plan: Renewable energy sources In this lesson, students will use Internet resources to investigate renewable sources of energy. The students should already have a basic understanding of energy, and know several examples of renewable and nonrenewable sources. This lesson is designed to help students investigate and evaluate renewable energy sources.

The Long Branch Environmental Education Center has developed into an educational center for sharing positive strategies of local self-reliance and sustainability in the areas of environmental design, organic food production, renewable energy, shelter design and construction, appropriate technology, resource conservation, recycling, wildlife protection, ecological restoration, and improved environmental quality.
