Part of the Savannah-Santee-Pee Dee Ecosystem, the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge provides a habitat for migratory waterfowl, migratory song birds, and threatened and endanagered species. Students will learn about ecosystems, habitat, and stewardship to the earth and wildlife through educational programs provided by the staff at the refuge.

The refuge also has hiking trails, fishing, and opportunities to observe and photograph wildlife. The refuge is located seven miles north of Wadesboro, NC on U.S. Highway 52. Call (704) 694-4424 for more information.
