- Cyber Tiger You're a zookeeper that is just about to recieve a Siberian Tiger and it's time to get ready! Students complete a "Tiger Plan" to build its home, make it safe, and plan for its food and even entertainment.
- Wildlife Conservation Society The site links to other sites such as The Bronx Zoo, Queens Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Zoo Park and the New York Aquarium, which are all part of the Wildlife Conservation Society. Students can find out about animals of the world, species survival, saving wildlife and wild lands through careful science, international conservation, education, and the management of urban wildlife parks. - Lesson plan: Animal slide shows! This project is a culmination of a science unit on animals which integrates computer skills, language arts and art. After a study of animals which includes classification, basic needs of animals, animal adaptations, and animal behaviors, the students will use the computer to complete a slide show of one animal they have studied at length.

At a 60 acre reserve in Pittsboro, North Carolina, the Carnivore Preservation Trust cares for a population of over 250 representatives from 16 species of threatened carnivores. The Trust is open to the public for guided tours that are led by a trained volunteer. Students will be introduced to tigers, leopards, and other carnivores.
The Carnivore Preservation Trustis open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. To schedule a tour call (919) 542-4684.
